Having candid conversations with other people about life, experiences, and knowledge is critical to individual growth. Understanding another individual’s journey and how they got to where they are today is a great way to learn and carve a path toward your own success. For this reason, Power Digital decided to create the Soapbox Series. The purpose of this series is to have conversations with informed, impactful individuals across all industries to learn about their lives, gain insight into important lessons, and ask questions.

Meet our Soapbox speaker: Susan Ehrlich

Susan’s experience in financial services spans traditional banking to fintech and focuses on a personal mission to leverage technology, empower clients, and change banking for the better.  As CEO at Earnest, she was named a Top 50 Financial Technology CEO.  Prior to Earnest, her career included executive roles with Simple, Amazon, Lending Club, H&R Block, Sears, JPMorgan Chase and Citi.

Susan now leverages her digital transformation, strategy and company culture-building expertise as a board member, advisor and investor in fintech. She is in her 7th year as a board member at BECU, the nation’s 3rd largest credit union where she has served as board chair (3 years) and audit chair (1 year).   Named a 2022 Director to Watch, she is an independent director at two venture-backed fintech startups, Petal Technologies (Series D) and Arrived Homes (Series A), and serves as an advisor to two more: Atomic FI (Series B) and Sentilink (Series B). Susan holds a B. A. with honors in organizational behavior and management from Brown University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.    She lives in the Bay Area and splits her time between Russian Hill and the Ehrlich family vineyard in Napa Valley.
