A quick intro to a complex, ever-changing topic.

What do I get from your SEO audit?

A written assessment of your site covering technical health, content and keyword coverage, backlink profile, and competitive position, plus a prioritized roadmap of what we would fix first and what we would expect each fix to be worth. It is built on your actual data, not a crawler report with a score at the top.

The audit is yours whether or not you engage us. Some brands hand it to their in-house team and execute it themselves. That is a legitimate outcome and it is still the fastest way for both of us to find out whether there is enough opportunity here to justify working together. Request one here.

How long does SEO take to show results?

Meaningful movement in organic traffic and revenue typically appears between three and six months, though the timeline depends heavily on your starting point. A site with strong domain authority and a fixable technical problem can move in weeks. A newer domain competing in a saturated category takes longer, and we will tell you which one you are before you sign.

What you should see well before month three is leading indicators: crawl and indexation improvements, ranking movement on target terms, and impression growth in Search Console. Those are the signals that the work is landing, and we report on them monthly so you are not waiting six months in the dark to find out whether anything is happening.

What industries and verticals do you do SEO for?

We run SEO programs across CPG and ecommerce, fashion and apparel, consumer services, healthcare, and B2B, each with a dedicated division.

Category expertise matters more in SEO than most channels because the ranking requirements differ so sharply. Healthcare and finance sit in categories where Google applies elevated scrutiny to expertise and trust signals, which changes what content has to look like and who has to author it. Ecommerce SEO is largely a technical and taxonomy problem at scale. B2B is a content and intent-mapping problem. Those are different jobs.

What are SEO backlinks?

A backlink is also known as an inbound or incoming link and is created when another external website links to your site. Such links are particularly valuable for SEO because it helps to build a positive reputation for your website and its content. This is because the backlink acts as a signal to search engines that others find the content of your website to be valuable and credible. When many different sites link back to the same webpage or website, it allows search engines to infer that the content is worth linking to, and therefore also worth ranking higher on a search results page.

What tools and reporting will we have access to?

Our stack includes GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and Semrush, alongside nova, our proprietary platform, which consolidates SEO performance with your other channels so organic is measured in the same view as everything else you are running.

You get access rather than PDF summaries. Dashboards are live, the underlying data is yours, and reporting ties ranking and traffic movement to revenue rather than stopping at position changes. Licensing for third-party tools sits with us, so you are not adding subscriptions to run the program.

How much does SEO cost?

SEO pricing depends on the scope of work rather than a set rate, and the main variables are site size, technical complexity, content volume, and competitive intensity. A technically sound site needing content and authority growth is a different engagement than an enterprise ecommerce migration with a hundred thousand indexable URLs.

We scope after the audit so the number is tied to a specific plan with expected outcomes attached, rather than a package you are asked to fit into. Request a free SEO audit and we will come back with both.

Do you handle local and multi-location SEO?

Yes. For single-location businesses that means Google Business Profile optimization, local citation consistency, review management, and location-specific content. For multi-location brands it becomes a scale problem: location page templates that avoid duplicate content, consistent NAP data across hundreds of listings, and location-level reporting so you can see which markets are underperforming rather than just a national average.

Multi-location SEO usually surfaces an operational issue rather than a marketing one, since inconsistent hours, addresses, and closed locations sitting live in directories quietly suppress visibility. We audit that first because it is the cheapest fix available.

Is SEO still worth investing in now that AI is answering search queries?

Yes, and the underlying work matters more than it did, not less. AI Overviews and assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity are built on the same signals SEO has always optimized: crawlable content, clear structure, topical authority, and citations from credible sources. Sites that get cited in AI answers are overwhelmingly sites that already rank.

What has changed is the measurement. Click-through rates on informational queries are compressing, so judging organic purely on sessions will understate its contribution. We measure visibility across both traditional results and AI surfaces, which is where generative engine optimization comes in as a companion to SEO rather than a replacement for it.

Do you implement the changes, or just hand us recommendations?

We implement. That covers on-page and metadata changes, content production, structured data, internal linking, and technical fixes we can execute directly in your CMS. Where changes require your engineering team, such as core template or platform-level work, we write developer-ready tickets with specifications and acceptance criteria rather than a bullet in a slide deck, and we stay involved through QA.

The most common reason SEO programs stall is a strategy document nobody had capacity to execute. We would rather own the execution risk than hand you a roadmap and hope.

What platforms and CMSs do you work with?

We work across Shopify, WordPress, BigCommerce, and others. Platform matters because it determines what is actually fixable: some technical issues are a settings change, and others require development work or a platform-level workaround.

We identify those constraints during the audit rather than mid-engagement, so the roadmap reflects what your stack can actually support and the sequencing accounts for your engineering team’s availability.

Should we be doing SEO or GEO?

Both, and they share most of the same foundation. Generative engine optimization focuses on how large language models retrieve, synthesize, and cite information, which places more weight on clear structure, factual precision, entity consistency, and being cited by sources those models trust. Much of that work also improves traditional rankings.

Where they diverge is measurement and content shape. AI systems favor content that answers a question directly and can be extracted cleanly, which is not always the same as content built to hold a position in a ten-blue-links result. We run them as one program with two sets of success metrics rather than selling them as separate engagements you have to choose between.

Can you help with a site migration or replatform?

Yes, and the earlier we are involved the better. Migrations are the highest-risk moment in a site’s organic life, and the traffic losses that follow a botched one are usually avoidable: missing redirects, changed URL structures, lost metadata, blocked staging environments left in place at launch.

We run pre-launch crawls and redirect mapping, QA the staging environment, and monitor closely through the post-launch window when problems surface. If you are already mid-migration and something has gone wrong, that is a recoverable situation and a common reason brands call us.

What happens in the first 90 days?

The first month is audit, technical baseline, and roadmap, with quick-win fixes shipped as we find them rather than held for a phase gate. Months two and three move into execution: technical remediation, on-page optimization across priority templates, and the first wave of content and authority work.

You should expect leading indicators inside that window, meaning crawl and indexation improvement, ranking movement on target terms, and impression growth. Revenue impact generally follows later, and we are explicit about which is which so nobody is surprised at the quarterly review.

Who does the work, and who will we be talking to?

A named SEO strategist leads your account, supported by technical SEO, content, and digital PR specialists as the roadmap requires. Content is produced by writers briefed by the strategy team rather than commissioned from a marketplace, which matters in categories where subject-matter accuracy is not optional.

You have direct access to the strategist running the program rather than an account manager relaying questions.

Can you work with our in-house SEO team?

Frequently. In-house teams often have the context and stakeholder relationships but lack capacity, specialist depth in areas like technical SEO or digital PR, or the tooling to run analysis at scale. We plug into whichever of those gaps is real rather than duplicating what your team already does well.

We are equally comfortable in an advisory role where your team executes and we provide strategy, audits, and QA. What we ask for either way is a clear split of ownership, because the fastest way to stall an SEO program is two groups making conflicting changes to the same templates.
