Web Development Process | Power Digital Marketing

Overview

The websites we build are innovative and up-to-date with modern techniques and best practices. By doing so, we ensure that each client receives a final product that can surpass the competition in design, usability and efficiency. Each project begins with a discovery process that allows us to know exactly who it is we are building a website for, establishing goals, requirements and strategy before we jump into development. Much of this discovery process has already been completed through our in-depth marketing audits and we have a great vision for any client.

Breakdown

Discovery

Let’s find out who the business is, what they do, why the do it, and what they want to accomplish with a new web experience. Focuses here include the current site’s performance, goals, requirements, and competitors.

Sitemap

Develop a comprehensive Sitemap that outlines the various pages and how they connect to each other. This document will clearly structure the website navigation and various pages.

Wireframes

Wireframes will be developed and are essentially the “skeleton” or “architecture” of the planned site. This allows the client’s team to view the website in its scaffolding stage without aesthetic influence. It will highlight where images will be place, how content will be featured, where forms and phone numbers will be located and much more for the 13 primary page templates (page template outlined in greater detail below). Wireframes include a 2-phase revision period where the client’s team can provide feedback on our initial offerings and we will revise in accordance with that feedback.

Design Files

Designs not only give us the right direction for branding, but give you the idea behind our development outcome.

Development

We believe in providing a transparent development process for our clients. What this means is that we will grant access to the client to our live demo environment to track our progress on the site throughout the development phase. This access will be granted after about 2-4 weeks of development and once the site has taken its original shape.

The development period also retains a 2-phase revision process where the team can request changes to the site (within the original scope of the site).

Launch

The final stage of the project is comprised of backing up the current website, migrating the new one to the correct directory and fixing any initial bugs that may occur at launch.

Existing content and new content developed in our marketing schedule will also be implemented during this process as it is completed.
